Testimonials:
I am 66 years old and a prostate cancer survivor of 13 years. My wife and I attend the Man to Man Prostate Cancer Support Group monthly meetings in Marshfield whenever possible. We find the meetings informal, informative and the members very friendly. It is a very good support group in terms of being able to discuss any issue without feeling embarrassed. Rich Nesbitt, the support group leader, is extremely knowledgeable, and if he doesn't know the answers to our questions, he knows where to get them. Experts give a presentation at most meetings with a discussion to follow, which is very informative. I encourage you to be a part of our group.

We have found the Man to Man organization very helpful. We first attended to hear a doctor speak on cryoablation, and were surprised to see friends and neighbors in attendance. At the time, we were pursuing a "watchful waiting" treatment of prostate cancer. As the years went by, we learned more about the disease and the many treatment options available. When the PSA finally indicated it was time to take action, we reviewed the options and decided to go with the cryoablation procedure which at that time was being done in Minocqua at the Lakeland Center. That was three years ago and the PSA is currently 0.45, which is completely satisfactory. We continue to attend Man to Man to keep up on both prostate cancer and other things that influence our lives as we age. The program for the year ahead looks great!!

I have found the support group meetings to be a helpful resource. Not only do they provide timely information on prostate cancer, but they provide a supportive opportunity to discuss any personal issues or concerns with other men who have also had to deal with this disease.
